Welcome to participation.net, home of the Participation Resource Centre at IDS

Participation.net is home to the Participation Resource Centre’s online searchable database. This database contains over 5,000 documents on participatory approaches to development, including topics like rights, governance and citizenship.

The Centre particularly promotes Participatory Methodologies, sharing practical examples from development initiatives around the world in the form of case studies, guides and manuals.

To begin searching please go to the Resource Centre’s homepage.

We welcome anyone with an interest in participatory approaches to development to search the Centre’s collection for practical and theoretical information. The centre is used by a wide variety of people, including researchers, practitioners, activists, educators, policy makers and students.

The Resource Centre is located at the Institute of Development Studies, at the University of Sussex, UK, and is run by small team of dedicated practitioners within the Participation, Power and Social Change Research Team.

Participation.net is also home to the Learning and Teaching for Transformation (LTT) Initiative at IDS, for more information on this programme please visit the LTT homepage.
